I could listen to all of that than the absolute turbo dross that is modern music.

Wonder if the people of the 80s who liked music from, say, the 60's, of the same opinion?

Also no, not all music is crap today. Chart music is absolute nonsense, hence why I said "charts are crap".

Also my view on NME still stands.

At that point, its stance was very much post punk, and therefore almost anyone associated with the pre-punk white music scene was persona non grata. Except stuff like David Bowie, Talking Heads, Iggie Pop and Roxy Music because they weren't seen to be "rockist."

Thanks...helps make sense of it.

Lots of boss stuff not on that list.

Youu used to get a free cassette ; I've dug out one of mine (1995) which had The Cure, Cast and Shed 7 amongst others.
The 1991 'singles of the week' had Tindersticks,Madder Rose,Utah Saints,Apache Indian amongst other pantheons of the music industry

I refuse to believe that that Cramps song is better than the first two Wah! Heat singles that came out in 1980.
