I know if we got a nike kit then it'll look like every other nike kit although, marketing wise, I agree it would be a step forward.

Its definetly a step forward marketing wise and LCS try and wind us up every year with horrendous kits.

It would be good news brand-wise.

I think Le Coq are actually boss though for kit designs. The pink one was a good marketing ploy, but yeah, it was fugly. However both home kits have been ace, the golden away one this year is ace, the Vanilla third kit last season is my favourite Everton kit in yonks. I like their designs.

agreed, the only reason id prefer a switch to nike is because they would bring more money/marketing to the table.

I like the Coq kits, but also the stuff is kinda boss too. My feeling is that you have to be 14 or under to wear Nike casually, so maybe more kits sold to kids, but am a bit worried how the other merchandising will go. Who knows, maybe I'll be positively surprised. Prolly not. *Sulks*

Was it though ?

I mean sure, on the face of it attracting to female supporters by releasing a pink kit is a good idea. However, how many sales of the away kit do you think we lost because of the colour from men, who also happen to make up our overwhelming majority of supporters ?

If anything, i think they may well have lost money, because most guys i spoke to hated the away kit and didn't buy it, and many women didn't because they'd rather have the home kit. Appealing to women so strongly only really makes sense when women make up a large enough portion of your support.

The vanilla kit is a classic. One of my all time fav kits.

The black and pink one was cool too.

You might be right to be honest. I was guessing there.

However I've seen plenty of men and children wearing it, and it did seem to be a hit with women as well. And if a guy didn't want the pink kit would they not just buy the home or third kit instead? I thought once the Vanilla kit was out there was something for everyone.

I forgot about the black and pink one. I loved that. Plus we didn't lose once while wearing it. ^_^

I don't generally like Nike kits. There's just something about them that they seem either boring or ugly. However, there would be a chance, a slim chance, that Nike would clear some room off their Arsenal, Man U and Barcelona laden shelves for one or two Everton kits. I doubt it though.
