That's not accurate, as they have the second highest percentage of academy graduates in the first team, and have made massive revenue from sales of graduates. What's been awful about ManU hasn't been the academy, but the management of the senior team. They have arguably the top academy program, but are definitely in the top 3 in terms of producing players who either join the first team or can be sold for profit.

Having graduates in the worst United team in memory is not something g to shout about. Unsworth’s record of players coming through was up there with the best in the league, nobody wanted him in that position.

Certainly hope so, but I equally recall Steve Walsh and Brands both considered to be something of a coup.
I’ll judge him on what happens in the next 2 years rather than the last # at Utd.

Absolutely mate Walsh got his reputation as a chief scout and we appointed him as a dof,this is a different role for him as well hopefully this works out differently,he’s definitely well thought of though we’ll see
