Still counts man, still counts ... wait till someone starts a first record you ever bought thread then, unfortunately for me, the truth will out

I think the first album I ever bought was Nirvana's Nevermind, but the first I had bought for me was Rush's 2112.

Not many I can think of.

But this springs to mind...

Good track - Get Free (obv)

Rest.... bit tosh.

2112 is a mightily thoughtful album to buy for an 80's child

90's child, mate!

And I asked for it. I used to love listening to it and wanted my own copy

Face it, mate. Some of us were just born with the ears of a God...

and buckets of modesty!

Thank you RFUS, you prove that even the most musically educated can fall under the spell of the "Feeder" single and buy and album full of horse shyte

Oh and another one

Artist : Finley Quaye
Album : Maverick a strike
Carrot Song: Your Love gets sweeter

Ahah, was trying to think of them in the 'What you listening to' thread the other day when ppl were talking about Weezer, but couldn't remember the group!! :O

And re: Finley Quaye, there's a couple weak songs on that album, but there's plenty other good stuff too!

Edit: Actually I was thinking of this:

I was given a ticket to go see "Thriller" tonight..

Which reminded me of...

You Rock My World - a good Jacko tune

Invincible - A terrible Jacko album

An excellent shout, it's all the more disappointing because You Rock My World genuinely stands up there with his best material, which is some going.
