In a Commons Debate on the bedroom tax.....

Tory MP for Monmouth, David TC Davies, said feckless fathers should be put in chains and made to work to pay back society the costs of bringing up their children. He said: "It is utterly shocking and I hope that the ministers will take note of this and get hold of some of these feckless fathers, drag them off, put them in chains if necessary, make them work and make them pay back society for the cost of bringing up the children they chose to bring into this world."

Clicked this expecting it to have something to do with the Tories and it did - was I surprised?, no. FILTHY FILTHY PARTY.

Maybe if those guys took responsibility for their actions instead of abandoning them, you wouldn't need politicians to say stuff like this.

Obviously the chains bit is daft, but the number of single parents is kinda testimony to how many fathers don't take their responsibilities seriously. Biggest job in the world isn't it?

I came across a couple of moronic women on a down the dial radio station abusing anti- abortion protesters, recently.

I believe there are about 60,000 abortions a year where I live.

I'm not going to get into the pros and cons of the debate, but my question is. HAVE THEY NEVER HEARD OF CONTRACEPTION?

I'm sorry about capitals, but I want to emphasise the point.

This is one of those issues where I can't possibly even have an opinion on it until it effects me directly

It's just not cut and dry for me

To be in a place where you feel you have to do something like that must just be terrible
