Looking for a bit of help from our American members here. As a general rule I start watching the NFL on sky when it gets to this stage and I usually have some idea what's happening. For some reason haven't followed the regular season at all this year tho. SO, can someone give me a short rundown of the teams/players in form, good matches coming up? Doesn't need to be complicated just wanna know a little bit so I don't miss out.

Giants should repeat. Finally no Patriots in the playoffs. With the Cowboys out I'm pulling for my neighbour Chad Pennington QB for the Miami Dolphins. Even though my home state team the Tennessee Titans will be tough to beat.

I see the Super Bowl being NY Giants v Tennessee Titans.

Well the hard working plucky Dolphins who have punched way above their weight this year and have insanely likeable Chad Pennington at QB just got predictably thumped by the Ravens. They were the most "Everton Like" team.

TBW: Didn't know Chad still lived in Knoxville? I've actually been watching him since he entered his first game as a freshman 3rd string QB at Marshall and went down to Huntington to watch him play a few games his jr and sr season. He's always been one of my favorite players.

Giants have been pretty beat up by injuries/suspensions recently. They were by far the best team in the league 45 days ago, that isn't the case anymore. That being said the only NFC team I see that is able to beat them is the Eagles. It will probably be a Giants - Carolina NFC Championship with the Giants beating Carolina for the 2nd time.

The AFC is down to Ravens vs. my home town Steelers and Tenn vs. San Diego. The only team I think the Steelers can't beat is the Titans who blew them out even though the Titans were missing 2 of their best players. So I need SD to win. Ravens-Steelers have went to wire in both games with the Steelers winning both. They seem to always find a way to beat the Ravens.

The best matchup of the playoffs is Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens. Both games that they had played each other in has been awesome. Pittsburgh is a big football town, the fans are great and the weather will be crap.

So Tenneesee-NY Giants Superbowl with Tenn winning.

Toss-ball. Ehh.

It isn't football, and they can't call it hand-ball, as that is already taken. So toss-ball will have to do. And it pisses off everyone I work with :D

Its a great sport, college football is still my favorite sport. That said (especially in pro football) the commerical stoppages are insane and makes the sport borderline unwatchable at times. I have trouble watching a whole game anymore unless I Tivo it. You can watch a 3.5 hr game in 90min or less.

commercial breaks are bearable if you watch a game with a couple friends tbh, its a good break to grab more chips or have a quick conversation, so i don't really mind it

can't see it tbh, when's the last time two number 1 seeds made the superbowl?

Can't see the Steelers doing it. Titans gave them a good whooping a couple of weeks ago but you never know. Ravens may be a dark horse in all this. I'm still staying with the Giants & Titans.

I am leading the office pool in the BCS. I need Texas to win in a big way over Ohio State. I like the college game better than the pro's myself more youthful enthusiasm.

Yes I should have said Chad's family Elwood his dad lives very close to me ufortunately he is in poor health. I have been fortunate to rub elbows with both Chad and Peyton Manning (Colts QB). I agree Miami did look like a NFL version of the Toffees. Not glamorous but grinded out the wins.
