Put a nice accumulator on the NFL this Sunday.

Chicago to beat the Lions (that was a bit hairy, swearing at Laptop; they're my team so it made the stakes worse)

Green Bay to beat the 49ers

New Orleans to beat Cincinatti (they left it to almost the last play)

Seattle to beat Carolina (Carolina went 14 zip up in the first half, I wasn't too pleased but they are closing the game out)

Looks my ship is coming in; £130 odd.

Besides the odd tip sheet in which I don't put more than a dollar or two on I don't bet on sports. It just seems wrong to root for a team for the sole reason that you'll get paid.

Steelers - Ravens on in an hour. The Steelers and the Ravens are pretty much the same teams. If you never watched an NFL game before watch this one. Even in meaningless Steeler-Raven games both teams always bring it (there was this game 16 a few years that had no behring on the playoffs and it was one on the most brutal games I ever saw). Its the hardest hitting rivalry in NFL. The sad thing is thanks to No Fun League commish Roger Goodell games like this will be marred with preposterous roughness penalties. So watch it now before the fun is gone.

I know, I predicted that one too, but five games felt like enough. The bears and the saints almost blew it. Nothing is a dead cert. Happy with my winnings.

Maybe get one of them Kindle DX's with my dirty money. Anyone got one?
 
If you do want easy money though just bet against the Titans. I've seen coaches who want to leave their team (Parcells), I've seen coaches who were lame ducks (Zorn) but I've never seen a coach stop trying to win. That is until Jeff Fisher this year. He's sabatoging his own team all because of a petty grudge with Vince Young. And that's a good team that the Titans have too, plus Vince wasn't even playing bad. If I was a season ticket holder I'd punch him in the mouth.
