Next year's captain

Got to be Seamus. With the interview after Burnley yesterday, he showed more class and honesty than BFS, and he obviously understands what playing for Everton actually means and requires.

Coleman - longest serving playe who still gets games or a Jagielka because he’s oldest. Genuinely doesn’t matter who the captain is - baffles me when people think it does

Let's also not lose sight of the fact that a captain should act as a role model to youngsters.

Jagielka is a role model in terms of shoelace-tying. Should have him working in a nursery teaching young kids the basics of doing the loops and pulling the laces nice and tight.
Williams is a role model if you have aspirations of looking pained in the face, and pulling your shirt over your head when you get smashed yet again in a game.
Rooney, albeit still decent, sleeps with grandmothers and drink drives.
Called it yet again. Absolute chancer waste of space this fella. Kopite to boot. Worst signing in our history.

A captain represents what the club stands for. He drives players on. A captain has the right to bollix his players on and off the pitch if necessary.

We havent had one for 5 years. Hence total lack of leadership.
