Rooney's main knowledge of the club comes from the time he was sleeping with grandmothers. I wouldn't say he took an awful lot from his time here.

The only thing we need to know is Seamus is the only leader in the squad who is playing in his prime years.

Rooney may well be a leader, but he's finished as a top player on a week in week out basis, and will be even less effective next season as he becomes yet less mobile.

Ok mate. If you say so.

And again, I can't understand your point on Rooney being finished as a player on a week in, week out basis. But we can absolutely just agree to disagree.

We can, brother. I respectfully disagree with your opinion, and that's fine. Godspeed to you.

Club Captain, 60 Grand Seamus Coleman.
Embodies everything good about what Captain of Everton should be
Especially the hard work, being vocal and driving forward team mates, and the loyalty aspects

Rooney can be on field captain if Seamus isnt playing maybe but I dont want him to be the default next season.

Let's sign Pele then because he used to be ace too. Is Roberto Carlos still knocking about as well? Used to be a cracking left back and we could do with one of them.
Even at his age now I can state Pele would turn us down and is probably better than half this shambles.

Never understood the fuss about captains personally. Think it's one of those media driven things where people have been brainwashed into thinking everyone's got to be like John Terry or Roy Keane to be given the armband. It's basically just a figurehead for the club in my opinion, I doubt the players care too much what their captain says to them on the pitch.

Naughty little shout that mate. But I'd go along with that. Pickford is always shouting at the useless gets who 'defend' in front of him. We need a vocal guy with some authority in the side. I'd join you in that selection.

yanno what, I don't agree with that kind of opinion for all cases

pickford and coleman will both continue to act captain-like regardless, sometimes (like beckham for England) the captaincy can raise a player from being passive into a leader, coleman gotta be captain for me, but I can deffo see the benefit of maybe giving it to someone to attempt to raise them into something they aren't necessarily now

if you get me
