Player Valuation: £70m
After a disappointing campaign and the lack of cash in the summer of 2011, what's the fans expectancies for next season?

The sale of 1-2 major assets, no major incomings, a turgid start before an inevitable resurgence.

A cup quarter final, before a spineless exit to a crap team. 8th place.

hopefully a takeover? hope moyes gets the team to learn some many of mistakes this season, we should be targetting europe

We want the big European slot not that Carling Cup of Europe the "Europa League"

i would be happy with the europa league, cant see us getting champions league yet we need some money for some players, you never know we may get taken over, i hope and cant see any big names going next season

You don't always get what you want.

And in our case, we won't even get close; Spurs, City and now Liverpool are getting further and further ahead of us with cash coming in left, right and center. I wouldn't be surprised to see Houllier get sacked and someone decent to take Villa back to the top 7 again. Europa is the best we're going to do, unless we can find some cash.

What's the attraction with the Europa league there ain't no money to be made to improve the squad

Hopefully we'll sell the players who are out on loan for decent money and bring a few players in to fill out the squad. We need competition for places and we need more options. Too many of our players are too similar. Some pace would really liven us up as well. It would be nice to see a couple of the young lads come through. If we can return to our old defensive fortitude and mix up our play to break down stubborn defences, we're not that far behind the likes of Spurs and City.

I love European nights mate. They're just good fun, while they last.

I can't understand why you wouldn't want it, really. Sure, the CL is better, but so is winning the title. But they're both unrealistic.

Football is all about money and bigger competions are more attractive, who really takes notice of the Europe League? But if that's what the fans want go for it
its another cup to aim for mate plus its something different

I bet we lose Rodders or MoFro.. Or both!!

Bily might get swept up from a Rusky club..

Yak & Vaughn will be sold.. (Which is good) "Hopefully Vic too!!"

We will bring in a wide player and a couple front men.. All mediocre ish.

Mid table finish..

i would rather build up more experience in europe with europa league and if we cant get champions league ( which we cant yet ) i would rather play in the europa league than nothing at all and football is all about silverware too

Unfortunately this is so true.

Any European football will bring in some extra cash. It also raises the profile of the club across Europe, potentially attracting a better standard of player (if we had any cash like). It also motivates the fans, raises expectations/moral and importantly, gives us a reason to watch Channel 5 on Thursday nights.

I'm so fed up with having high expectations going into a new season, only for us to be crap till Christmas. So my initial wish for next season is to avoid relegation.
