Next season who do we keep and who do we get rid of

Release all those out of contract

They'll soon come running back only to find "good old bill" has been booted

The gravy train needs sinking.....

Ok....

We know the following are gone (out of contract/loans ending:
Mina
Townsend
Davies
Begovic
Coleman
Davies
Coady
Vinagre
Simms
Broadhead

Not much of that affects our starting 11 - but clearly we will need to strengthen at CB (replacing Coady and Mina) and full back (we knew that already.

Now - question is, who else will we sell? I'd guess:
Maupay
Onana
Branthwaite
Gray(?)
Iwobi (either we sell him as he has 1 year left or we have to give him a new deal)
DCL? Can we trust him and keep him?

Also I think someone big could come in for Pickford...

We have to strengthen - there's not many positions in the team that I think are nailed down starters. Of those that are left, I think potentially only the following are likely to start most weeks under Dyche next season:

Pickford
Tarkowski
Garner
Doucoure
McNeil
DCL (if he gets fit and stays)

I don't think either Patterson or Myko have the full back positions locked up. Also think Gana Gueye needs to become more of a squad player.

And we've gto to do this massive rebuild with very little cash. Going to be fascinating!

Might not be popular with some we are going to need short term measures for certain positions so others can be prioritised. On that basis I would re-sign Coleman for one final season. I am hoping a full preseason for Patterson with Dyche can help him make a big step but we also now have Garner as a potential RB option. Money needs to be spent on a CB, LB, RW and CF. Iwobi I would give a new deal to because of his versatility and Gray is also quite a cheap bench option to keep. I would be against the permanent sale of Branthwaite unless a silly offer comes in

If at all possible I would like to see us keep Pickford, this might be difficult as he is one of the players we could make the most profit on. His book value now is very little given the length of time he's been here and taking into account his new contract. Onana is another one i'd like to see us keep for another year, but, I really don't think he'll want to stay and we desperately need to raise some money for a couple of forwards.

Now the ones we may realistically we expect to keep. Top of the list Garner, this lad has the quality in mid field to be able to take the game by the scruff of the neck, he is a very determined and very gifted footballer. I'd like to see us build a midfield around him. Tarkowski is another shoe in, he is a bit too casual on the ball from time to time, but, he is head and shoulders our best defender. Doucoure has already had his years option activated, so he's here next season.

At full back, God help us, Seamus just can't be expected to be starting every week next season and Patterson, who I quite like, looks like he is going to miss lots of games to injury. Mykolenko, he's hile he is better than any other option we have, is just no more than a squad player. We really need two first team starters in at full back.

I never thought I'd say this when we first signed him but, McNeill is another one who I would be looking to build something around, he, Pickford, Garner , Tarkowski and should we manage to keep hold of them, Branthwaite and Onana are the ones we should be building around.

we need to lower the wage bill but we also have to retain some players because we can't just get rid of 15 players cos we won't be able to replace them with our financial restrictions.

we may have to bolster the squad with loans and a few 4-5 mil signings
We need to use all of our loans this year. Criminal we didn’t last year.

He had been sold in January. Simms has another year.

Reality is that we won't be selling Maupay. There can't be a club in Europe willing to offer him the wages that he's accustomed to after the season that he's had. But we can fully expect offers for Onana, and transfer fees for players like Onana could be vital to our rebuild.

Keep Mina and DCL (pay as you play deals) and buy Coady. Keep Onana and Branthwaite from the first two lists and the rest can go.

  • Pickford, Begovic, third choice GK
  • Coleman, Patterson
  • Mykolenko, Nkounkou
  • Tarkowski, Coady (signed for £4,500,000), Godfrey, Branthwaite, Keane
  • Gana Gueye, Onana, Garner, Doucoure, Iwobi, one more CM possibly
  • McNeil, Gray, new winger or two
  • Calvert-Lewin, Simms, Cannon, new striker

If we still have Pickford and Onana next season I will be surprised, this board has to go.
We can't keep letting our better players go and expect to be higher than 17th every season.

Come on Everton it's not rocket science

Out (in order of preference)
Kenwright
Moshiri
Thelwell
Barret-Baxendale
Ingles
Dele Alli
Gbamin
Maupay
Gomes
Keane
Davies
Townsend
Lonergan
Holgate
Vinagre
Godfrey
Iwobi
Gueye
Sharp

Obviously we won't, can't, and shouldn't get rid of that many players in one go but it sums up why we are where we are.
I’d have Moshiri above Kenwright on that list, purely because it’s a two-for-one.

If Moshiri sells up, no chance Kenwright is still here.

Agreed, I doubt we will be able to rebuild with only offloading the obvious candidates . - it would release funds through saving wages but not much in fees so a tricky situation.

No, I get that. But almost everyone was saying last year he'd never paly for the club again because of the injury and he never did. Just seemed like he should have been fit for a couple months or so.
I have done two ACLs, one was a 12 month rehab, one was 9, his is longer but there is no reason why the joint wont be as good as new.
