If you think about it, FDB is the only 1 who has said he wants to come, thats why hes favourite as the bookies dont think any of the names mentioned will come.
Means nothing at the end of the day, iam all aboard the Emery bus right now

Not in the know by any means nor will ever claim to be but was in the company of a true club legend last night at a barby and he assured me all is in hand and fans will be pleased with appointment it's definitely not a former manager wouldn't say specifically names on who it will be did say names mentioned in media are in the right area but there is a totally left field name not linked to us in media or betting markets who we are trying for, koeman was the only name we chatted about as the esk said was top target and had indicated to us early his interest only to change his mind reckons his agent had the nod over a job coming up next summer when his interest and evertons became public
Welcome to Everton Bruce Arena

When we hired Martinez everyone knew he was getting the job and the interview of other candidates was just going through the process.

This time though there has been really SFA coming out bar for the likes of the Esk. Even the papers and bookies have not got a clue. This leads me to only one conclusion that the person they want is contracted to another club and negotiating a deal is taking its time. I don't think it's Koeman either. I think we could be all way off the mark here. My own instincts believe that when Moshiri took control he planned to remove Martinez in the summer no matter what. If this is the case he would have known who he wants as manager from the minute he bought his shares.

If Moyes Pelligrini or DeBoer were strong contenders I think they probably would be appointed by now or strong rumors from numerous sources would be indicating this.

Wouldn't say names and never pushed him only concrete was without naming former managers he guaranteed pretty much it's a new face mate and with him having the time to have a beer and good chat with me I respected his privacy given his status at the club at present

I really hope it's Mancini.
Just been speaking to 2 City mates (being of Manc persuasion myself!) and they reckoned he was their best manager since Joe Mercer....high praise indeed. They said focused, feisty and able to handle egos. Just perfect for us and some of the big mouths like Lukaku.

I've been used to watching my team lose, emery has his team winning Trophies and playing champions league football, really shortsighted mate if you are actually putting emery down. Considering you also want the United reserves as squad members, kind of makes sense though

You don't want mancini. Haven't said it enough, he is a terrible manager and potentially a suicidal appointment. His main success in his career was winning the seria a after both his rivals were deducted points and relegated. And he picked their best players off that wanted to join him. Before that he was always 3rd in thst league. Then he won the league with city after an open cheque book and playing all out attacking football which noone expected (see Liverpools version to why it worked). As soon as teams found him out he struggled again.

So yeah, mancini is actually the worst manager we could appoint here, I'd happily take many others over him as he would be a massive liability. And that is from a fan who wouldn't turn his nose up any any manager who is an improvement on Martinez, I'd take Moyes back over mancini!

You're likely to be in a very small minority.
My City mates say exactly the opposite and they've watched City for over 40 years home and away. They reckon he's best they've had since Joe Mercer.

The longer it goes on I wonder would Loew be the surprise appointment? I don't see how it would work on one level with him being tied up with the Euros for weeks to come and would think that if he were leaving Germany he could just go ahead and announce it but I still have a feeling it's possible.

Of course they would think that, won their first title in 50 years was it? Hell there was still fans here still backing Martinez for finishing with 72 points!

I just think from what I have seen that he gets jobs on his name alone. Has not succeeded anywhere when he actually needs to be a good manager, winning a title with no rivals and when you have just signed silva/aguero/toure and play out and out attacking football is not a marker for someone who is any better than Hughes or pulis.

I may be the minority there, but that's what I think either way

The fume will send the fourms into melt down when we appoint Moyes, but for those next few days iam going to live in hope and enjoy the possiblity we might actually get somebody decent

The length of time it is taking I can't see it being someone who is out of contract. Surely it would have been sorted by now if that was the case.
