..I don't have any particular preference but it appears the new manager will be given a considerable war chest and I think a key requirement is a proven track record with transfers. I'm not convinced Pelligrini has this based on the current City side.

I'm not sure Pellegrini was 100% in control of City's transfers.

This is the bit I don't understand.

We averaged 6th place and 60 points under Moyes in his last 7 years with basically no financial backing yet people say he lowered expectation and only finished midtable. Only Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal finished in the top 7 more than us in that time.

I'm not saying I want Moyes back but to make out he was some terrible manager who had us bobbing along in 12th is just plain wrong.

People are making out that Koeman would be a massive step up when he got a similarly financed team to a similar position in the league.

Deserves some respect for that but face it in the eleven years did not win anything and the record against top teams was poor. Also failed at Man U and in Spain. How anyone can want him back is beyond belief and beyond me.

I genuinely do not see why koeman would join us.

Because at the end of the day we are bigger then Southampton, Koeman didn't even knew Southampton exists couple of years ago and Southampton don't keep managers, they only last 1 or 2 years.
