Player Valuation: £50m
As a loyal 360 owner, I firmly believe I picked the right console for the now-generation, but I have to say that unless Microsoft considerably ramp up their offering and remove the silly restrictions, I am almost certainly going to switch to the PS4 come launch time.

PS4:
+ No online sign-in checking
+ Free exchange of 2nd hand games
+ Cheaper
+ Online service still free..?

Anyway, E3 is beginning today. We should know more from both camps soon.

Looks like all Xbox can offer is the kinect as PS won't have anything similar. Pish poor effort from microsoft.

XB360 had some major strategic advantages over PS3 that allowed it to gain good traction, especially in the early years, but it looks like none of them will apply in the next round of consoles.

18 month head start
Bundled Headset
Lower price
Simpler architecture -> easier ports from PC
More exclusives games
Better online server, XBLA

Sony were trying to sell an expensive high definition video player that also happened to play games.

Reckon ill switch too, if the ps doesn't need Internet to play offline and you don't have to pay to trade games in then it has my vote

I am just going to buy whatever majority of my friends buy. Be bothered playing on my own or with a bunch of random people.

There's a lot of unhappy Xbox users about, Microsoft might be forced into a hasty u-turn.

Both have pros and cons, wouldn't say the xbox has 'major strategic advantages over PS3' like. Especially when the ps3 had:

Blu-Ray player built in
Free PSN
The original xbox didn't have built in wi-fi
Had some quality exclusives too (MGS4, Uncharted etc etc)

Sony have certainly won the first round. The only thing that would stand out on the XboxOne is the bundled Kinect but that doesn't bother me personally as I don't use it anyway.

The main thing now will be as we learn more about the launch games and the other games in development.

I will almost certainly get the PS4 as I have always favoured the Playstation but it is annoying you need to be a PS Plus member to play online etc. now...

Also, yeah it didn't have a headset but does have a rechargable controller
