Real question is how much longer is coleman gonna feature in starting 11 beyond next season? He will be stop gap captain but thats it, where is the long term planning. No leader son that pitch anyway. I vote Gomes because he's fit.

The obvious answer is Seamus however if you refer back to the 80's we had many captains on the pitch eg Reid and Gray, I put Seamus in this category, he's a captain regardless if he has the armband. So I've gone for Gomes as I believe he'll thrive with the responsibility and inspire others.

Don’t think we’ve got the ‘captain’ type player, need someone who will scream and shout at the players and give 110% every game, Coleman is ok but he hasn’t really got the leadership quality we need. Gueye has the energy and fight but isn’t vocal enough. And siggy seems to drift in and out games. But whoever it is good luck to them COYB

I would go for Keane , improved markedly as the season progressed , player who is a regular , and a younger player the responsibility to grow into the role as Brands and Silva restructure the squad

Coleman but he's unlucky with injuries. Not mad on the idea of GK's being captain so it would be Keane as next choice.

Richarlison. Best player in the team. Might make him step up a bit more. Seen many players embrace that sort of responsibility and thrive with it. I’d wager he’s one.

Hasn't got the right attitude, it's not about being the best player base on ability, but more about leadership.
Also has to be someone who is vocal and going to start most games.
