Next Captain ?

With Phil Neville seemingly on his way out of Everton, as a result of his age and ability but also the weight of fan opinion, it will soon be time to pass on the captain's armband.

I've seen three main names suggested, the front runners being Distin, Jagielka, and Baines. In case it's not obvious, this is who you want, not who you think Moyes will choose (not sure why that would require a poll in the first place).

I'm 99% sure it will be Jagielka, as he's the vice captain isn't he?

Baines could get it, he is our best player after all. But is he vocal enough? I'm not sure.

Gibson is an interesting one.

Out of the whole squad it's got to be Jagielka. Is Baines a leader, loud on the pitch? I ain't sure.

Jagielka for me, Gibson vice captain.

Baines is arguably our best player but he's not a vocal leader type, just let him play his own game.

I think it'll be Jags, however Id be happy with Gibson if he can stay fit.

Distin will play one more season at best, we've already more or less agreed that Baines isn't a vocal leader type, so who, out of the current squad, would be ahead of Gibson to be vice captain?

If Jagielka is going to be captain then ideally the vice captain needs to be a little younger, as unless we buy our next captain (lol) it would be ideal to have a bit of a gap so that we get a few years out of the next captain. In which case Baines or Gibson could be vice captain.
