Before this move, he has signed with three clubs since leaving:

• Turkish top division club (two years)
• Swansea (short term deal for a couple months)
• Brazilian top division club (just 2024)

Both top division clubs had him from the start as a key attacker, and both were relegated the year he signed with them. Probably not a coincidence!
