Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

Was there an advert with a dragon in it or am I getting confused with listerine. Either way, chewits tasted like plastic, I much preferred the middle class option of fruitella with flavours such as pear and blackberry instead of strawberry soap
I think Godzilla or some creature advertised it. So maybe.

Actually it may be long ago in the mists of time, but I always remember having ample access to chewits but can't recall having actually bought a packet.

Back on topic - What I don't get is that a week or two ago, the PL was saying about not needing to make a decision as PIF pulled out after they hadn't provided any evidence that the man in charge of the PIF didn't have any connection to Saudi Arabia who he happened to be the leader of also. So what has happened? Have the PL changed their position or is it the Newcastle mob going crazy again.

probably that story a few days ago saying that the government would welcome the bid being resubmitted

either that or Azul did something

That sort of perfectly puts it. They are not going the legal route, hes suggesting he's considering options. His lawyer Im fairly sure will tell him he's throwing oney downthe drain and that will be the end of it.

If the PL were formally rejecting PIF (which they'd be legally entitled to do, on a number of levels) they'd announce a statement. I suspect whats happened here, is after the PL have gone on record as saying "the option to buy is still open" northing has been forthcoming (not a jot) from the buyer. They've probably contacted the buyer or Staveley and been told it won;t be happening, so have essentially said "ok that door is now shut".

If it was a willing buyer, and the PL had just rejected them, do you not think Staveley would have known first, and made her own public statement? Or if they'd told Mike Ashley, before the buyer that they would not kick off if they had even a modicum of interest? We know Staveley is anything but discrete, going all over thepress, including Jim White to declareher intentions.

In simple terms, the buyers walked away, the PL tried to contact them, got no response, closed the case. Ashley sees a big chance to redeem himself and sticks out a wooly press release.

He's played a blinder here, got loads of season tickets and made himself a hero all off the back of a blag takeover to a woman who probably wanted to asset strip the club.

And he’s made a tonne of cash. He’s probs got a permo hard on at the minute

Ideally Mike Ashley will bring a court case, get absolutely rinsed, leaving him having to sell everything, then Shola rolls up with his connections, buys them, they end up in a worse possition than Sunderland, the Nashun go on hunger strike and half the countries diabetic problem is solved,as the bloated mutants waste away

No chance Ashley will launch a court case. He’s as happy as a pig in a sewage treatment centre. Which is a fairly accurate description actually
