Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

His football is awful, but he's done well to get us 13th when pre-season expectations were relegation. It's a fairly low bar he's cleared, but he has cleared it.
Big Sam did a job for us after koeman had pressed self destruct. Long ball tactics but no1 likes that

Brothers in arms.

One of the funniest things I‘be seen in Newcastle was a load of EDL guys storm into a pub called Bar Loco (which is a sort of hippy dive bar) cos they thought Russel Brand was doing a talk on his new book. Turned out it was the local uni Marxist group having their monthly meeting. lol

Every time on holiday I've somehow conversed with Geordies on holiday they give off a nice friendly vibe, but then they start using derogatory terms for each region, i.e.: scouse c****' ,cockney c***** etc as if they're somehow superior, a bit how they see their trophy less football team.

Not surprised in the slightest they'll defend being owned by that regime, wonder if women and LGBT will be allowed in the stadium?

Other pieces paint a bleaker picture. I would assume that the wealth of the Sovereign Funds is so stratospheric it won't be damaged too much, but their income may be?

Collapsing oil prices, certainly in the short-medium term will not be beneficial to a country who's wealth and assets depend centrally on oil. That's quite a simple analysis to grasp.

Why does the fat man get lauded for clearing the same low bar while playing the same atrocious football?
He is lauded because he turned the club around, got us promoted as champions, delivered a strong finish in the first season back, brought in some good players, played better football, and was trying to push the club beyond the limited ambition of Mike Ashley.

It's no great shock that your enmity for Liverpool means you don't like/rate Benitez, I guess.
