Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

newcastle have gone from having an 8 mil per year shirt sponsorship deal to a 25 mil per year shirt sponsorship deal with a Saudi company

we receive 10 mil a year from stake and even if we stay in the prem, i very much doubt we will get more than 12 mil a year on our next deal with whatever non betting company decides to take us on

unbelievable

As unbelievable as a company with no public facing businesses paying £30 million just for the rights to have first refusal on a naming rights deal?

Don’t understand how this work.

Why can’t we do the same in the past? The PL even questioning the legitimacy of the £30m naming rights.

I bet they think they are much bigger due to the oil money. Just take a look at the social media.

To see our club heading to the Championship this ain’t good for mental health.

We could've probably marketed ourselves better when we were in Europe but we had no marketing department and likely still don't, so now we're happy clapping about finally getting 10 lol

West Ham and Leicester in the same boat then re marketing. Despite Leicester being league and FA cup winners and last 16 champions league place one season.

End of the day, outside the top 6, the shirt deals have capped out at £10mill. How else can you explain the jump from £10mill to £30-40mill to Spurs and Arsenal

Unless you've got state ran companies funding state owned football clubs.
