Newcastle Utd (and Viz)

While I don't have the trust in the authorities that @kenada_blue may have, I do believe it'll be far more challenging for Newcastle to manipulate the money.

They've already said the test for new sponsorship deals will be 'a market value' rather than just association, so in theory they can't get someone to put silly deals in.

Newcastles shirt sponsor is up this year. The minute they get a shirt deal that's close to or on par with with the top 6...then you know it's rigged.

Outside the scab six is us and west ham on £10mill. Leicester on £12mill. Think Newcastles is £8mill atm. After that it jumps to £40mill with Arsenal.

So if they get a new deal between £15-£20mill+ by some random company...the dope is strong with this one.

They'll be punching horses in Milan and Madrid next year. Living the dream.

As Chairman Bill says nowadays, "what would Newcastle do?" And now we have Farhad with a tea towel on his head whilst DBB and the panda botherer taking a bone saw around to the Turkish embassy to sort out any journalist who said we are getting a points deduction.

Yeah, I was saying that to some of my geordie mates when explaining that they are going to have to start selling players because there’s only so much their sponsorship deals can jump realistically.

However, if they get top 4. They can argue that it is realistic market value alongside the other clubs in top 4. Europe means absolutely everything for them right now.

But in these days of clubs grassing each other up every 5 mins, other clubs could point to Leicester and say that their deals didn’t jump up.

Remember when Evertonians were worried and adamant he wasnt good enough for us... and also didnt want Arteta, Howe is doing a great job
I’ve said in the past I didn’t want them (like 2019 time) due to the position we were in and what they offered, but said they would both likely go on to be top managers, it’s just the timing wasn’t right as both would have been huge gambles considering every time we have needed managers we have been in relegation battles. Unfortunately, we then did an Everton and took that gamble on Lampard 😂

Timing is everything, like Silva, we got that timing so wrong, however we got the Dyche timing spot on as if we hadnt of got him you ca be sure either Palace or Leicester would

That's all very well and good (and I agree with you), but when they finish 4th this season, which they probably will now, they WILL get loads of new hugely inflated sponsorships and nobody will do a damn thing about it. The players they brought in to steady the ship (Burn, Wilson, Willock, Targett, probably a few others) will swiftly be replaced with more polish, expensive versions and they'll look to establish themselves as regular top five contenders over the next few years, before stepping that up to title challengers after that if things are still going well.

It's not out of the realms of possibility like as they'll have an excuse. Completely corrupt like if it happens.

But these things never go to plan.

Honestly...spurs will win a goblet before Newcastle become any kind of powerhouse. And that's gonna take some time

I'm sure you will hear Daniel Levy's opinion of they do, Can was always vocal about our deals, especially the proposed Usmanov sponsorship of the new ground, as if it were any of his business anyhow.

I can't think of any good Polish players apart from Lewandowski and good luck getting him from Barcelona.
