NEW YORK

Plan it before you go because there's loads to do. One ace city indeed.

I managed to fufill a life long dream of getting into a yellow cab and ordering the driver to follow that car. The other half wasn't impressed, neither was the tax driver I think.

Anyway, enjoy.

Been a few times on business, so I can't give you a comprehensive list of things to do, but here's a few: Times Square for sure, Ground Zero, observation deck on Empire State building, SoHo, Central Park, MoMa, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art to name a few places.

Love that town.

I went their to shag some bird I used to talk to on the telephone through work. Spent one night in NYC before going upstate.

It was cold.

It was wet.

I didn't see any sights.

I may have seen the statue of liberty through some tree's while we were driving.

No recollection of seeing the WTC.

They weren't that famous in my opinion back then.

I remember the yellow cab had some message from the mayor about wearing seatbelts....

An there were lots of puddles and pot holes, and wierdly water tanks on rooftops.

Sex was memorable then ...?

Going there wednesday anyone been if so - things i must do?

Serious answer Davie

1. Chinatown. It is dirty and full of conmen but is very lively and full on. It is an experience.
2. You'll see "Little italy" on guide books. Ignore it unless you are in Chinatown ( they are side by side ). Little Italy in truth no longer exists and insofar as it does is a restaurant rowof about 25 cafes about 3 blocks long on Mulberry north of Canal....a tourist trap with no Italians living there. It is actually a Chinatown overflow with an agreement to preserve 3 blocks as Italian.
3.. If you want to see a show go to London. B'way is more expensive and the theatres are less attractive and the shows are the same.
4.If you are going to the Art Galleries plan what you want to see. The MOMA and Met are massive and tiring but great so cherry pick.
5. Walk up the 7th avenue "skyscraper alley". the building are functional but as the name says it is an experiance of high rise mega buildings equalled only in Chicago.

Enjoy.
