New Tv

If you get a half decent 4k or 8k tv even then i would recommend upgrading all the cables that connect up the console, Sky/BT/Virgin box etc because you will get the true quality through your screen. I have £90 each cables running from each device to tv & i did notice a difference. It would have been £55 a cable but the living room LG has its ports all on the left side & the hole in the tv stand for the cables is on the right thus 1.5m ones were needed so bear that in mind too even if you dont upgrade the cables.

What cables do you mean? A cheap hdmi cable does exactly the same job as an expensive one. In fact they probably cost exactly the same to make them. If you noticed any difference it'll have been purely placebo to justify your empty wallet.

Tbh there probably is an element of that but i needed new cables anyway so figured i would go for better ones. This link describes the differences better than i could.

I've got a Panasonic and got no complaints with it, had a samsung before that and you seemed to have to press the remote buttons about 3 times before it worked but that was one from about 2008

Yeah that link explains there are different types of HDMI with different transfer rates but even the fastest one, the HDMI 2.1 you can get a 1.5m cable for £8.49 on Amazon which will give you exactly the same performance as a HDMI 2.1 cable for £90.

Be a cold day in hell before I ever buy another Sony. Software was horrendous, it had to be on a minute before it responded to anything on the remote and support was "we have your money now."

Love our LG and have had a good experience with Panasonic.
Sony, Samsung and LG all have the best quality, but you gotta buy it just before the newest models comes out to get the best deals.
I remember years ago, before I got my LED TV, I was in Costco in Glasgow and they had a Panasonic Blu-ray player hooked up to a Sony TV and playing a Blu-ray disc. I thought it was the best picture quality I had ever seen.

Im not one to give opions on electronics.

However, SONY are absolutely amazing TVs for about 3 months...then they have major issues.

Bought 3 at the same time for different rooms and all of them conked out within 2 weeks of each other at around 3months in.

Samsung on the other hand...top quality.

In my defence i did buy mine a good while ago now so prices have come down. They also come with a lifetime guarantee too. Don't know the exact model & it's a hassle for me to look but they are the Sandstrom Gold series.

Never had a problem with Sony. You probably want to check where you bought them if all 3 TVs were from the same retailer.
