I can upgrade my phone today. I am currently undecided between iphone4 and the HTC desireS. anyone got any views on either of these phones or any alternative suggestions?
 

Don't get the S if you get a Desire.

It's an excellent phone but it doesn't seem to be getting the developmental support the Desire HD is getting and the original Desire got. It can't be rooted at the moment, either, which if you're into your gadgets is frustrating. HTC seem to be concentrating their energy on the Sensation and their tablet computer.

Having seen my brother's Galaxy S2 since I got my Desire S I'd be inclined to agree with Chico. The only reason I didn't get on is because the Samsung I replaced with the Desire was the worst phone I've owned by ten country miles and made me swear I'd never get another Samsung phone.

If you get an iPhone you have to give Steve Jobs a blowjob every time you download an app. Trufax.
 
i was intent on iphone4 for ages but everyone i know who has got it hates it! and they got that signal issue!
 

The DesireS is, bizarrely, not as good as it's predecessor the Desire HD.

The Samsung GalaxyS2 is the way to go, definitely instead of the iPhone4 IMO.
 

I always just get the latest samsung model and have always been happy apart from the galaxy. Had it since Jan and its seriously screwed. Havent sent it back yet because I havent wiped it and im pretty sure I broke it downloading a truly heroic amount of pornography.
 
Go for the galazy S2, Desire HD or the iphone, but id warn you with the iphone - the new one is coming out in a month

edit: oops just read you got it already, good choice
