New Everton Stadium

I'd imagine that the need for car and coach parking, whether directly at the ground, a nearby new development and / or at satellite park & ride sites would be factored into Everton's plans.

.....or park and ferry. We could have our own ferry terminal with links to the Wirral, Landudno, Belfast and Dublin.

A joined up transport plan here would be the additional car parking AND the park and ferry. But maybe just to the Wirral in the first instance.;)

Said it before, but a shed load of narrow boats with Everton emblazoned across them should go from the Albert docks. Have them like a VIP package with drinks on board etc. Imagine a whole troop of Everton Narrow Boats sailing along the Canal out of the Docks and right in front of the Liver buildings. It'd be a corporate dream. Could even sell part sponsorship of the boats on a season or match basis. Hire them out to companies for a premium on the Box price. Huge opportunity there.

I think you missed the joke...

serious question - why did the Rs decide to regenerate rather than consider a waterfront option?
Cheaper option perhaps, but lacks vision.

No Mate, I got it right enough just turning it round to cheer up Moutsgoat!

As for Anfield, the club spent years and little money destroying the nieghbourhood to get the land to expand. I would not want to see Everton try and do anything like that to the streets around GP. WE need to move and we all know where we want to go.

I'm guessing that they have painted themselves into a corner over the years what with their own and a complicit media's
Sandhills looks closer Mikey

Depending on which dock we are talking about, I think there is every possibility that a new station would be built half way between Moorfields and Sandhills assuming it is in that area we are talking about. It's a fair lick between those 2 stations. About a mile and a half I would guess. There has been talk of a station for years.

The only space between those two stations is Trafalgar/Bramley. Trafalgar would be a great spot just need Peel to play ball and Everton to make the right noises. Think LCC would go along with using that brownfield site and no residential bits around to disrupt planning application.

IF Moshiri can actually deliver a new stadium that lives up to our history of innovation and provides a genuine platform for sustainable success it will be simultaneously wonderful, and also painful thinking of the wasted time & opportunities to here.

So Mr. Moshiri. Central Docks. Big Everton sign & crest visible from Mersey. Iconic design. At least 55,000 and expandable (we need to stop thinking/acting small). New train station, named after us. It isn't much to ask
