........if we do move to the dock location it will scupper that old trivia question about the nearest football ground to the River Mersey. I imagine our new ground would replace Edgeley Park, Stockport (coincidentally, where I did score a few goals back in the day - never miss an opportunity).

No mate, it means there's no final decision yet. The docklands site is clear favourite but until that is agreed other options have to be considered - standard decision making practice.

By all means consider all other options - then discard them in favour of the Docks.

Although docks are where peeps want you never know if theres interesting options in the city too. Docks shouldnt be made as a matter of life and death to EFC.

Apols for pestering, re the stadium question in general do you see this as something that will be resolved this summer/season or are we in for a period of protracted negotiations to get the site we want?

Difficult to say mate. I would have thought it is in all party's interests to move forward as quickly as possible. Wouldn't want to say for definite over the summer but would think sometime before end of year is a reasonable assumption.
