New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Lets just build a floating stadium on the Mersey. Hopefully it's out of LCC's jurisdiction & we can take it with us to away games! (*against teams on the coast of course)

Ideal for the 1/2 season tickets

I think that's fair judged on the past, but in the near 50 years I've been an Evertonian I've never seen and heard so much optimism at the highest levels in the club. Clearly though we need to see that optimism turned into reality.

All the ingredients are there, and I believe they'll be achieved.
Esk what they thinking as top capacity mate ?

Any more than 55k and it will, initially be hard to sell out for all games, make it 55k make it expandable, make it waterfront, make it shiney, make it better than Greyskull, done.

Judging by current season tickets sales, I'd say 55k is a sensible sort of capacity. When you look at the availability below it's fairly obvious that, for this coming season, there won't be many tickets on sale from the club, and those that are, are likely to have restricted views.

As a fanbase, we need to get used to the idea that we now have an ambitious owner.

Totally agree with that. I have a cousin down here who is a Spurs man. When I saw their plans, and showed them to him, very impressed were we both.

NEW STADIUM

World Class Design
Stadia design has evolved rapidly in recent years, recognising the significance of these public buildings and their ability to define and enhance urban areas.

The Club has revisited its stadium proposals to create what we believe will be one of the finest stadiums anywhere in the world for spectators, visitors and the wider community, creating a major new landmark for Tottenham and London.

Designed by leading stadium architects Populous, the key design improvements include
  • A dramatic design evolution – an asymmetrical design focussed towards the Southern ‘home end’ as the heartbeat of the new stadium.
  • A tighter atmospheric stadium bowl with increased capacity – new capacity of 61,000 with the largest single tier in the UK, the home southern stand, now increased to 17,000.
  • A fully retractable pitch – to cater for NFL, concerts and a range of other events whilst protecting the integrity of the playing surface.
  • Dedicated facilities for the NFL – to cater for their requirements without in any way impacting upon the facilities tailor designed for football.
  • A sculpted appearance – wrapping and folding its way around the stadium before reaching the home end, where a glass façade arches upwards to reveal the magnificent single tier home stand.
  • A new five-storey atrium space within the Home End of the stadium– that will gather and focus the home support before and after the match.
  • A curved roof, which melds together with the stadium structure – completed by a lightweight cable-net roof to create a graceful and elegant clean cover over the seating bowl.
  • A spectacular front door opening up onto the High Road – providing a glimpse of life within the stadium, designed to create a link and sense of arrival from the station and new Public Square being bought forward as part of regeneration to the West of the High Road.
  • A prominent entrance for the East Stand onto Worcester Avenue – framing a double height banqueting hall and revealing the Sky Lounge at high level.
  • First class conference and banqueting facilities – to enable the Stadium to be active 365 days a year.
  • An exceptional public square next to the Home end of the Stadium – offering a range of community activity zones and space for fan-themed activities, accessed by a series of staircases from the High Road with external lift access also provided.
  • A unique ‘Sky Walk’ – a visitor attraction for fans and the public alike, allowing people to climb the exterior of the building up to 40 metres high.
  • A new covered service area – reducing noise and disruption for local residents.

Read the announcement.

The new stadium has been designed for multi-use, including a structurally engineered fully retractable pitch – the first for any stadium in the UK – to ensure that the football playing surface is always in peak condition.

Underneath the grass field will be a synthetic grass surface that would be used for NFL games and other events. This innovative solution also allows greater flexibility in the scheduling of games, reducing the set up time required to prepare the ground for other events.

The seating bowl has also been designed to enable excellent sightlines to be achieved for the different formats of football and the NFL, without having to screen off rows of seats at the front of the lower tier, maintaining an excellent atmosphere for all sports and events.

Dedicated facilities for the NFL – including a home locker room and media suite – are also provided such that the Club's facilities are never compromised by the need to cater for other uses.

The NFL is well-known for providing a great match day experience which starts well before the action on the pitch. A Key feature of this is the Tailgate parties, which take place at selected venues close by the stadium and in surrounding open areas. Typically these include:

  • Appearances from NFL legends

  • Performances from team cheerleaders

  • Interactive NFL activities

  • A selection of the best American-style food

Visitors and local residents will be able to engage in these vibrant activities and they will bring added economic benefits to the area.

The NFL is, similarly to the Club, committed to providing projects that support the community. It will be running its NFL60 programme - a campaign which encourages kids to be active 60 minutes a day - to reverse the increase of childhood obesity.

The NFL will also, for the duration of its contract, sponsor 3 places on the Foundation University Degree Course and will be supporting the community with tickets for locals.

Bringing the NFL to Tottenham, will provide a direct economic impact on the tri-borough area (Haringey, Enfield, Waltham Forest) of £11.2m per year, while the economic impact on the London economy as a whole would be £37.8m per year.

With the anticipated number of additional spectators being more than 180,000 people per year, the estimated spending will be £21.4m from spectators.

With NFL being played in Tottenham, there will also be significant exposure of the Tottenham area to a “new” audience – with over 80% of NFL International Series season ticket holders coming from outside London.
How amazing would it be if what the @The Esk says happens and we have a better stadium than Spurs as their ground looks amazing so pukt something better than that on the waterfront and wow you have something that will be hosting the champions league final within a couple of years in would say.

With the city's maritime history I think the Cunard stadium or the white star stadium would be great names for a new stadium, but doubt they do that sort of sponsorship deals.

Operating via the Caymans and various frontmen, Moshiri will buy pukka pies and pour in millions via stadium naming rights, thus circumventing these pesky new regulations...as an added bonus we might even get decent pies on matchday.

Would prefer decent lager first then pies, and bring back those crusty onions for the hot dogs from years ago, nice them, and proper sauce bottles instead of sachets where I end up with a blob of sauce at one end and the rest of it over my fingers, sake Everton
