New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I, a lifelong Everton fan, am starting this new idea because of my steadfast admiration for the Grand Old Stadium of Goodison Park and its distinguished heritage.

Goodison Park, home ground of Everton Football Club, has a capacity of 39,572.
36,000 stones are going to be added to Everton Way, each one a testament to our support and love for the club. However, there remains a gap - of 3,572 stones. This isn't just about meeting a figure, it's about honouring the true capacity of our beloved stadium, and giving more fans who missed out a chance to contribute even more to this meaningful project.

The extra stones (in small) would only add an additional half meter height to the total area of the 140m rectangular length of the Everton Way construction so there is definitely space. It just depends on new demand and they have plenty of time until early August.

They'll eventually add more stones to another area, but will probably be a while to let demand catch back up

We are moving to somewhere around 35k season tickets, so you're looking at approx 8k to 9k tickets on sale for any given matchday, but some of those will probably be sold as packages as other clubs do nowadays.

In any case, the number of available tickets to buy will be higher, but probably not by a huge number vs today

Looks about right, I do think it will be closer to 9k and lets face it they are all way better than the back of the Glwadys...

I'd like to see a ballot system put in place for members with a reasonable distribution of opportunity through the season so everyone has a priority chance to buy a ticket for a Tier 1/2/3 game.

Now that it's clear being on the lower reaches of the waiting list isn't a great selling point for membership there needs to be a greater opportunity to see 4-6 games a season of various quality.

It's funny listening to the various comments about beer, and how drinking habits have changed. When i first started going to the pub (early 80s), quite a lot of "older" people drank various "mixed" pints like Brown ale over Bitter, Lager over Bitter, Brown ale over Guinness/Mild and the dreaded snakebites (Cider over lager).... and most Pale Ales were bottled (mainly for export) and favoured by women... as were milk stouts etc. The main breweries had a vice-like grip on what was sold then, and people could be quite partisan about their choice of pubs based on the brewery. Over the years choice increased, with the addition of the odd exotically named foreign Lager or new generation of Bitter.... and eventually small brewers started supplying small batch "real" ales to "free" houses.

After the initial experimentation of youth, I eventually followed my uncles' advice and went for the Guinness. It was an acquired taste, but available everywhere and normally regular in quality. I have a few mates who love the rigmarole of trying new real ales and extolling the virtues of the various brews on offer. Most of the ones I've tried (not that many tbf) have been absolute swill, with a certain brand of Plum Porter guaranteed to fill my kecks mid-pint..... but my mates still swear by the quality of their £1.99 favourites.

Give me a Munich style Helles any day. Occasionally go to Tranmere when we’re not on and the Paulaner they have in the tent is glorious
Mate, you want to go and watch football in Germany - I've been to loads of German grounds and the ale there is a delight. I regularly go and watch a 2nd division team over there called Darmstadt and the lads I know over there routinely joke about how much I must be missing the Carling/Coors at Goodison. Ale we have at grounds here is generally a joke in comparison.
