New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

From EDSA

Good morning EDSA member,

We hope you are well and looking forward to the game later this afternoon.

We just wanted to provide members with an update on accessible parking in and around the new stadium in light of some information released during the week by Liverpool City Council.

There will be an increase in the number of on-site accessible parking spaces at the new stadium compared to what is currently available at Goodison. The club will be solely responsible for the allocation and management of these spaces. More information on these spaces and how they will operate next season will be communicated after the test events have been completed.

Liverpool City Council incorrectly put information on their social media platforms that said these on-site parking spaces were for disabled fans aged 65 and over. This is not true. There will be no age limit for disabled supporters parking at the new stadium. The club have contacted Liverpool City Council over this misinformation and all posts containing this incorrect information have been taken down.

Clarification is being sought from Liverpool City Council concerning blue badge parking options within the restriction zone around the stadium. Once more is known about this, details will be shared with members.

Talks are still ongoing with stakeholders about off-site car parking provision close to the stadium, which will include accessible parking. No news is expected on these until spring.

Other services, such as shuttle buses and park-and-ride services from parking facilities outside the stadium perimeter, nearby train stations, the city centre etc will be announced by the club, the council and transport operating companies in due course.

Anyone attending the first test event on Monday, 17 February, will be contacted by the club via email next week with specific travel information for that event.

As mentioned, when there are further updates to provide on parking, EDSA will do so via members' emails and on our social media platforms listed below.

If you have any further questions regarding the move to our new stadium, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best wishes,

Another station a little closer than the walk from Sandhills would be beneficial, but only in the distance to a train station. Everyone will go to the closer one and the problem has just moved from one station to another other.

Couldn't they have a system where Sandhills is for two destinations and the new one the other? Would certainly help imo.

There`s very little room to put a new station any where south of Sandhills. Best solution for getting folks back into town after the match would be to have buses ready on Regents road to run folks back to Paradise street.

How long have these been at Sandhills (taken today)?

Something to do with our new gaff?
