No matter what the young U-18's of both sides go on to do in their careers not one of them will ever forget the experience of being involved in the very first competitive match to be held at our new stadium. And I imagine it will be the record attendance for such a junior level game ever to be played. Dare I say another 'Everton first'.

You couldn't make it up. Is this a joke? A few metal barriers and a sign saying "footbridge coming soon", and that's the full extent of the Council's planning for the most important new development this city has seen in a generation?

The Stadium looks incredible, and it's been delivered on time. Massive kudos to everyone behind that. Meanwhile Liverpool City Council is doing its best Toytown impersonation by providing half a dozen crowd control barriers and a fat bloke in a hi-viz shouting "one at a time lads!"

Yeah it’s personal preference obviously. If Guinness or bud or whatever is your go to drink it’s great, I just hoped for better variety.
