New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Why would anyone want to bring an English or British flag to the ground unless it was making a political statement? Do it at home if you want, but surely for 90 mins it can be parked.
There`s nearly always a few England flags when we get to a European trip, but most of the time the flags are mainly Everton colours with a place name on it.

Folks are probably not used to seeing a Union Jack or St Georges cross at a game. Should I be told not to show an Irish tri colour at a game in case it offends someone? It was never an issue before.

Each to their own I suppose but when the climate is the way it is, I just think it’s a statement. I sort of get it when playing in Europe but not at home in a domestic game.

Majority of people who have suddenly put them up over the last couple of weeks are racist, or at least xenophobic, yes.
I agree to a certain extent especially the people who have been putting up flags on lampposts and painting roundabouts and so forth, but there’s a house by me where the occupants fly numerous different flag the Cross of St George being one, and I’m sure there are plenty of people around the country who do the same with either the English flag or the union flag. If these people want to do this they should be able to do so without the stigma of being called out as a racist.
