New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I was in the Upper West Block 247. Upon entering, I had to scan my ticket several times before the barrier would work. I was surprised there was no escalator and felt sorry for those with mobility issues. It was very congested on the concourse. We would have walked around to explore other offerings, but instead, we went to Dockside Kitchen which was about a ten minutes wait in the queue.

The server there needed help from someone else when I ordered a cider, as they didn’t understand what I was trying to order. They were also very slow inputting the other items into the till. I can imagine they were overwhelmed, given it was the first day, so teething issues were to be expected.

At half-time, we went to get a drink and headed to the chicken place After queuing and reaching the counter, we were told they only had coffee left. It would have been helpful if someone had come out to inform the queue, rather than each customer finding out individually. I could tell they had run out of ale, as someone ahead of us became quite annoyed with a server just before we reached the till. We ended up going back to Dockside kitchen and got some Pepsis, but by the time we returned to our seats, we had missed 15 minutes of the second half.

Like at the first test event, I was surprised by the lack of urinals in the toilets. The paper towel bins filled up quickly, and I’m surprised they didn’t install hand dryers. The queues for the toilets and catering outlets were so close together, it was hard to tell which was which. Given the available space on the concourse, I think increasing stadium capacity would be difficult.

We walked around the stadium during the last 10 minutes of the Legends game. That’s when you really notice how much better and wider the concourse is at the home end. The 360-degree bar is a nice feature, and they’ve clearly invested more in fitting out that area compared to the rest of the stadium. It’s also very convenient for a quick exit to Regent Road, so I’m delighted I chose the Upper South for my season ticket seat.
While walking around, I saw the Grab and Go feature, which looks like a great concept, and I also got to see my commemorative stone on the way out nice and easy Looked chaos on Everton Way before the game with everyone finding there stones.

You'd hope this kind of feedback gets right back to TFG and they make instant decisions on how to improve people getting to their seats, ensuring the premium sections are that, "premium", and sort out the bottle neck sections in the concourses that people have mentioned.
Let's hope but I won't hold my breath. The club made a decision to not install them and then withheld that from us til it was too late. A lot of people will be looking to leave Club View if it doesn't change

Thought about club view, looked really good, but I couldn’t justify the expense.

Sorry that it wasn’t good for you in there, hopefully it gets sorted out along with the other issues in other stands we had.

Blame Starmer for all of this. Why aren't the stewards, catering personnel etc not local.
I'll be absolutely fuming if I miss any of the Brighton game (not by choice) cos I can't get in through queuing.
Might ask for a physical ST on the basis yesterday's game sounds frustrating

I mean this is worrying to me. The water coming through the roof is worrying as it wasn’t even raining.

I don’t like the idea that that’s it now. I feel like there should be another few tests events as we can’t risk crushes or broken escalators etc. I don’t get it. There are always going to be queues but there should be people monitoring the queues and then saying in headphones, walkie talkies etc, no more people down here etc. All seems poorly organised to me.
Yeh, there was a guy in a wheel chair at the lift door, said he’d been waiting nearly half an hour for someone to open the lift for him as you cannot do it yourself

The stadium is great, it's exactly what you'd want in a football stadium. The noise doesn't half travel well.

But, there's deffo teething issues that need sorting. Queuing for days to get a drink in the plaza, to get into the stadium, to get a pint at half time. All a bit chaotic.

If Everton take the criticism on board and fans show a bit of patience and get to grips with their surroundings, it should be sound.

Them budweiser advertisings are proper intrusive though.

I thought it was straightforward. As said previously we found out two stones and a friends stone that wasn't there basically straight away.

, Honestly,we tried twice. All I had was a grid pattern ‘map’ with a pic of rupertsbtower and a message saying we were in section c. There’s two ruperts towers and they’re miles apart and section c is just an unmarked area. There were hundreds of people wandering around not even sure if they were at the right end of the walkway let alone in the right section. It was such an Everton that thing imo

We still never found it

We need to be getting these things right, new era and all that

Suits me.

My lads mate went yesterday and he was saying one of the issues was that instead of one queue to order there were 3 queues of people all trying to feed in to one serving area.

I went by the timeline year at the top. Seems to be the easier method.
