New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Minor issues, if that and beer supplies not meeting demand are the only things people complain about then all in all I'd call it a major success.
I do too mate. I said above the stadium is amazing.

But the club need to look at these issues raised by fans as a matter of urgency...especially people caught outside for an hour or more because their system failed at certain gates of entry. If that happens in a PL game there'll be consequences Ild imagine.

The problem with the West side which could of caused queues is that they close it off while the coach pulls up and the players walk through which lead to lots of people not being able to enter the stadium and it became very crowded.

But please Everton get the decorators in and get the whole place turned blue, and get some character in it ASAP.

The concourses were appalling.

I mean - I have to say - I'd never get caught in a queue there anyway: imagine not being able to go without a pint for a couple of hours - and the prices for food are a deterrent in any case. But the lack of organisation was appalling and just going for a piss was an ordeal in and of itself.

I go back to the point above about stewards on that: the club seem to have gone out of their way to hire a bunch of (largely) clueless and unresponsive shower of turds it seems to me.

From the stewards to the staff working in the bars it just felt like they all needed a lot more training than they'd had. I was really disappointed with half time as I thought it'd be a much easier experience than Goodison - couldn't believe it was actually worse. A lot for them to improve.

Scandalous that. Imagine saying that to a disabled person. 'kin rat.

IMO, the stewards in blue yesterday seemed to be a lovely bunch of people. Very helpful to fans. The rest of them were either gormless, jobsworths or a bunch of snides.
Agree with you, the one I encountered, when I asked directions., just waved his thumb over his shoulder and said “ up there” useless pilock.

That western wharf being shut exacerbated it.

Have to agree. I was in through gate 2 as well. Concourse at half time was one of the worst I have seen, stewards need to sort the queueing system out as they were backing up back into the stadium and the caterers and stewards need to up the game a bit.

Hopefully only small things that can be rectified.

The seats were incredible though, inside it’s better than I thought it would to be honest. Done a hell of a job so a shame if they don’t get logistics right moving forward.

As someone who did not have the honour of being there it seemed to go off pretty successfully on the whole, no?

They will iron out any issues, I'm sure they will have a full review and give priority to the biggest problems.

Takes a lot of people to make things work and it was a huge day for all of the staff no doubt. Where there are problems, people will adapt to the best of their ability.

It looked magnificent, almost surreal to me. It will take a little time and tweaks to make this marvellous house a true home but isn't it great that we've moved in now.

I'm a season ticket holder with my lad never went today we wanted to wait for first League game and maybe give someone else who's not fortunate enough to get a season ticket.lots of mixed opinions I'm reading things probably will improve as we go along can't wait to see the stones my family got we bought six .we will adjust fellas but will be hard on the heart do think they should reign the prices in tho after all we are the most working class club in the league and won't have it...💙
Same here.
Decided after over 35 years love affair with Goodison I couldn’t bring myself to sidle up to the new love of my life for a friendly or test event. Always had it in mind to wait for the proper opening.
Seems a very balanced view on this thread of the real positive aspects and some that need to improve with use.

Yes mate. Ild say these are mostly glitches...but we rely on having skilled and thoughtful people stewarding the situation to overcome those glitches.

I hate to keep on at it (well, I dont like but...) but I thought the stewards overall were 💩.
