Yeah, it was public knowledge, someone on here also chose a season ticket there and wanted to move because of that.

Understand that, but as far as I was aware this was only based on the current set-up at Goodison. I even commented I believed this would be the case much earlier in this thread.

No issue for me as never really have one in the ground anyhow... As long as they have bovril for half time then I am happy!

I wonder how many times we are going to have to repeat that Bud is not going to be the only beer sold at BMD before people get it into their heads? We’ve signed a deal with the brand, not the beer. Budweiser UK has many, many beers under their umbrella, plenty of which will be available at BMD. Some of you are just born moaners who won’t take 5mins out of your day to do a simple google search.

I'm not a fan of budweiser or bud light but I love that the ownership group is able to promote us in a professional manner. Imagine Bill or Denise trying to negotiate a deal with Inbev.

Also, is there a uk ban on Alcohol brands as a shirt sponsor? Seemed like there used to be quite a few kits with alcohol sponsor and none anymore.

I can't imagine an easier deal to negotiate than one which gives a brand exclusive access to a captive market to be honest, you don't exactly need to be a marketing genius to generate interest in that.

One thing I grudgingly admit Liverpool are better than us are Murals. Not saying we need to have as many as them but we should have some iconic ones. Over here in Manchester, both City and United have some good ones too.

There isn't a "ban" exactly, the premier league decided to self regulate and phase out the alcohol sponsors on football shirts. I think it could come back though, if you look at La Liga, some of the teams promote the non alcoholic versions of their beers on their kits, like Estrella Galicia, on Celta Vigo, Real Valladolid and Deportivo La Coruna kits.

I think we had some training gear with "Chang Soda" on it back in the day
