New Everton Stadium Discussion

Shame that if 777 takeover they will be selling it to fund the purchase of the club and settle the debt, absolutely guaranteed.

777 simply do not have the funds to buy the club and pay off the debt, so how else would they do it? When they do they will be killing our future and the club will lose all the non match day revenue and will be tenants.

This will be a bitter pill to swallow after these last few seasons and what is going on with FFP linked to the stadium.

I'm tired of repeating this, they are not allowed to sell it.

In the land lease agreement with Peel they state that the Everton Stadium (Everton stadium company) has to remain in the ownership of the Club.

It was made clear by Peel (and reported in the local media) when the deal was signed.

Your other point is correct, nobody has a clue where the 777 money comes from.

According to the Red Echo, electricians walked off the site yesterday in an ongoing row over pay and overtime working. Nothing to do with the club as Laing O'Rourke have full control but hopefully sorted quickly.

The other point being, if the club and stadium could be separated, then why isn't Moshiri doing that very thing to get his money back? He'd be able to sell the club and rent the stadium to it forever at a figure (linked to inflation or similar) which wasn't too extortionate to Everton FC to still benefit from a ground move to some extent but at a price which enabled him to get his money back (or a company he set up) over a period of time. After which it would be pure profit for the rest of time. He could even sell that company over his own lifetime for a lot of money, a bit similar to what rock stars do with their royalties.

Nonsense, "nothing to do with the club, hrumpp" [Poor language removed] Masters will put that right, in the interest of fair play and the other 19 clubs. Another 6 point deduction for Everton !
* [Poor language removed] is short for Richard... Matron. ** Hydrolics it's happened again.

Sparks are always the biggest moaners on site.

The article states one spark said they are the most skilled and lowest paid. There is zero percent chance that is true.

Yeah same here, the 3.30pm time of them walking off site was probably just their regular finishing time haha

That’s exactly what they’ve said. They haven’t been getting paid for their overtime so they’re getting off at half three every day.

Seems the £20m a month doesn’t stretch as far as OT for the sparks. Nice one, Bill.

There’s always some attention seeking muppet spreading misinformation in a desperate need for attention.

Sadly it’s not kopites but those among our fan base so they think they can tell the world hey look I’m right look at me.

Thankfully there ignorance means they are wrong, however the club is still very much in the muck though.
