New Everton Stadium Discussion

Said on post earlier our biggest worry we don't end up with a Coventry situation it's bloody scary

It shouldn't come to the extreme situation Coventry found themselves in. If you think about it the only other tenant the stadium operator could have at BM would be the RS and Anfield is already bigger, holds more corporate and they own it. Why would they move? They would have to buy out the operator for the full 500 or whatever million. Doesn't make sense.

Coventry had an issue where the stadium was small enough and location enabled numerous clubs (& different sports) to match or better the rent that they were willing to pay.

Let's hope so.

We need the stadium, but the stadium also needs us.

Where will the money come from to finish the build ?

Official club statement, via Moshiri, today.

"As a result of this agreement, we have an experienced and well-connected investor in football clubs who will help maximise the commercial opportunities, and we have secured the complete financing for our new stadium, which will be the critical element in the future success of Everton

LOR management have no worries about the finances for the stadium, so the assumption has to be that the financing is confirmed/secure.

Finding it pretty difficult to believe a word that comes out of Moshiri's mouth at the moment, he's desperate and he wants out ASAP.
