New Everton Stadium Discussion

Pretty sure one used to be significantly bigger than the other?

Still is. The angle on the photos in the tweet hide the drop on the north stand.

So the below is no longer happening then?

What about the single-tier stand?
The South Stand looks hugely impressive, doesn't it?

Its close proximity to the pitch is something Meis desperately wanted to incorporate, as was how steep and imposing it will be to the opposition.

In total, the stand will be able to have 13,000 Evertonians sat there - which will certainly be an intimidating prospect for anyone making the visit to the blue half of Merseyside in the future!

Have they got rid of this?

  • A key feature is the “home end”, a single-tier stand that will have a capacity of 13,000.

Still there, the dividing wall between the upper and lower section looks to be larger though. This was in one of the original documents to have (legal) safe standing it needed to be quite a bit higher than the version we saw in the main drawings. Else you have to have a curve in the shape of the stand like spurs'.

No, it's in the pictures above.

I've dug out the original document and it appears we have gone for something in-between the 2nd and 3rd variations at the top:

The only images to take notice of are the ones on the LCC site. To my eyes the interior bowl looks exactly the same.
