He talks about investing in that interview so I assume that both his and Sarofim's involvement is financial in some way as well as advisory.

Wonder if they were both involved with the mooted Textor/ Eagle Football buy out and have joined TFG instead?

Well, of course he is investing. But I don't think he has any sort of net worth to make a difference to the club.

Everyone seems to be based in Texas, so I'm not sure they had anything to do with Textor.

Agree with this. Never heard of him or the cat announced yesterday.

But it feels like we're bringing in serious people who know how to run a sports business - not the chairman's mates.

Fondly remember being called a misogynist for doubting whether DBB was actually 'the best in the business'.
What Miss Dynamite…how dare you

I disagree, the critical 1s have no basis, nothing at all.

Again, I see nothing wrong with having hope.

My heart tells me we are 1 good Summer away and we back, my head tells me its jover for us and we wont ever rise again in my lifetime.

Sometimes the heart rules the head.
The heart always rules the head....just sometimes the head gets a word in

I am not against a European NBA team based in the city (Everton Tigers Mk2?) However, I do not want them based on Nelson Dock. Part of the appeal of the new stadium is the glass façade on the South Stand which reflects the water of Nelson Dock. If we take that away, the stadium loses a bit of charm and it would detract from its dockside location.

As I am saying, I am not opposed to a new basketball team - quite the opposite. Yet, I would hope (and expect) that there is some consultation on the matter of Nelson Dock first, similar to how there was with the stadium. Personally, I would suggest placing the basketball team in an arena on one of the other neighbouring docks, or even at a modified M&S Bank Arena.

I like the fact he calls them “The Frickin’ Group.”

The reason for them wanting Nelson dock is to have everything on the one footprint. Peel Holdings are selling/developing the whole waterfront. If TFG don’t build on it, someone else will.

Why dint we house them at the Echo and take some ownership of that. The Everton docklands arena and the Everton stadium

They could build around the basin and make it so that it is similar to the Albert Dock, just so long as the basin remains. Part of the appeal of the location is the dock neighbouring the stadium. I am not overly bothered about infilling other docks, just so long as Nelson Dock remains as it is.

Besides, any new build would require planning permission and objections may be raised.

Soon as i saw him joining i thought is an NBA franchise coming? The Nelson Dock could probably rival the Echo Arena…so we’d have even more money…plus more room for sponsorship
I think that's unlikely or if so would be in London but you never know.
