Some way over the top stuff on here tbh. We are a mid table side with a pretty rubbish squad and no big pot of money. Conte and Simeone aren’t going to be rocking up anytime soon.. Any manager we appoint will have a patchy record.

Think getting Ancellotti and having a bit of money has given fans a sense of entitlement and gone to heads.

The fact even Spurs haven’t been able to pull off a top manager and are scrapping around for similar ilk to us tells you all you need to know about what’s on offer and available to us.

The banner's a disgrace, there's no defending it. It's by no means a surprise though is it. This was always going to happen, and no doubt there'll be plenty of other ugly scenes in future which people say make them ashamed to be an Everton fan or whatever. Unfortunately this is what happens when you show a blatant disregard for fans. It shouldn't, but it does. By the way, I know loads of you are pretending like this is "just a few idiots", but I'll be honest - it's just the most blatant example of the behaviour towards this that I've seen on here and beyond since the rumours began. The only difference is those behind the banner are missing a load more brain cells than most.

All of this vitriol just because he managed another team you don't like and said some mean things once upon a time.

Everton is a business, they will hire the man they believe can get the best out of assets the business owns to achieve a positive business result. You can disagree, but the pure venom over this is unfathomable and, frankly, what I'd expect from Liverpool fans.

Loads of you need to get a grip. If he does get the job, for him to take it in the face of thousands of rampant bedwetters is admirable. I hope he succeeds, not just because it's Everton, but to shut you crybaby turds up.

Agree and I also think it is being overlooked that having invested almost £500,000 with more to come, Moshiri will want to protect his investment and deliver the stadium.

If he had not come along, we would be truly up the creek without a paddle. Yes he has made mistakes but still continues to invest. It is irrelevant if he is motivated by selling up at a profit as he is the guy taking the risk and we benefit significantly.

In my view, this entitles him to the final say.

Well they are.

He's a professional football manager that has won multiple trophies in multiple leagues, who has competition for the job from a murderer's row of nobodies and failures... and you're upset because he called Everton a small club once when we were acting like a small club and dared to be successful at a club you don't like.

It's ridiculous. I'd understand it if he'd "done a Barmby" but he hasn't.
