Carlo has come and gone but his appointment did break one glass ceiling i.e that a club like Everton could not appoint an elite manager.

Losing a manager to Real Madrid is not exactly something to be ashamed of.

He needs to go back to club management and prove himself there.

At the end of his time at Everton he had seriously lost his way and I think that he simply did not get some of the basics right with the team... in particular he really was not good enough at getting a proper defensive structure in place.

There is no reason why he could not learn or be a far better manager now.

This Euro championship is a big test for him, he has been in charge of a hugely talented group of players for a number of years and he needs to deliver there before anything else.

He was asked at the shareholders meeting about the board being simply not good enought, his reply was unbelievable, something like what he said in that teeet and that everyone was jealous of our board, it was world renowned or something

1st thing the next manager needs to do is find out who the fans like and don’t and sell them(sounds easy I know) sounds stupid but a good way to win the fans over
Then he needs to get rid of the boys club(Fergy/Unsworth and so on) an find actual top coaches instead of ex players.

Can see him having around 100 mil to spend
Rich-60 min
Kean-40 mil
James-10 mil

then he needs to offload
Sigi
Gomes
Iwobi
Bernard
Delph

Then bring in 4-5 players and bring in a few younger players from the academy if there is any.

Non of that will actually happen and we be stuck with a manager who aged 50 years and gone after Christmas

If we sell all of those we will need more than five players

The media do not seem to realise this and as usual the favour managrs that fit their stereotype of why is at Everton's level.
That is why we see Howe and Dyche mentioned every time.

The have now decided Nuno is the suitable candidate and they have already practically appointed him

As with the last time I believe they may well be wide of the mark.

Not achieving anything with that Belgian squad still amazes me, especially when they had ‘prime’ Vertonghen and Alderweireld and Courtios at the back and Hazard at the peak of his powers. They were just as good as the French squad and should have been seriously in the mix but some reason you never really fancied them. Might just be me who thought that but still :’)

The problem is the fact that the club doesn’t tha ve any ambition that’s why Carlo left. The day before we played City DBB released a statement saying how much the board where made up they where with the season.
The season was a total train wreak. We went from almost guaranteeing CL football to no Europe at all in the space of 10 games and she was happy... an we wonder why Carlo ran a mile

If the manager is more worried about what the fans think than backing his own judgement then we got the wrong man.

Whoever the manager is will be a massive disappointment, should he have a terrible start to next season and win 1 or 2 in 6 and us playing Gilfi and Gomes and Iwobi and Bernard. we want him out, ppl will want him out before he starts
