Hey guys... I love English football and I've been watching for years, yet I've never had a team to root for. I think I'm ready to love Everton... they seem to have a lot of the qualities that my favorite teams in American sports have, for example I am a Chicago White Sox fan... a team that is considered the "2nd team" in America's "2nd city", and we went 86 years without winning a championship, and I am not hopeful that I will ever see them win one again in my lifetime... we are middle of the pack in team salary, overshadowed by the other team in the city (The Cubs) and just can't compete with the big spending super-powers such as the Yankees and the Red Sox except once in a while when we manage to catch lightning in a bottle. I have always hated the big teams on principle, so Everton seems like a natural fit for me.

Welcome from the resident Cubs fan on GOT. You have a World Series trophy, we have Wrigley and Steve Goodman (RIP, friend...) I wouldn't trade.

Eamus catuli. Our caps are the right color. (y)

That's it - no more here, AFAIK... Welcome - all Evertonians welcome. We do not choose, we are chosen.

Welcome matey!(y)

You've obviously endured much frustration as a fan before, so you will absolutely love the the nose-bleeding highs and gut wrenching lows of supporting this great club. Don't worry though, most of us are quietly convinced that there are good times ahead for this team.

What do you think of England fans then?:D

Glad to have another Everton fan around!

But you might want to read up on your history ;) (You'll be hearing that word a lot!)

We have been, and always will be, one of the biggest clubs in England. We might have been suffering a bit for the last 20 years or so but we are still the 4th most successful club in English football history. We were founding members of both the Football League and the Premier League and have spent more time than any other in the top-flight (107 seasons and counting baby)

And things could've turned out so differently in 1985/86 if it hadn't been fo..... Err never mind, bit stereotypical to say that bit! :D

Remember, we ain't underdogs anymore. On our day we can rip apart any team in the league. And the only thing belonging to Liverpool that's overshadowing Stanley Park these days is their debt bill!

English fans are great... there are very few places in American sports where we have fans with that much passion and intensity. The only thing I can think of that comes close is college (american) football
