New DOF

In that interview it seems he adheres to the philosophy devised by the chairman and the board of Brighton. Our board and chairman are too inept and haphazard to actually devise a clear consistent platform for what style and philosophy of football we want to orchestrate. Brighton definitely utilizes the DOF rolr as intended not the weird bastardized version we had at Everton, where the board and managers are vying for influence on the vision of the club at the expense of the DOF

If throwing money at him works, then if he does come, expect him to move on if successful, when someone else throws more money at him.

So with the reports(all be from click bait media) that we want a new DOF and that Brighton’s Dan Ashworth, would we be happy with him?
When Potter was asked about joining and in high demand he praised how well the club was run and that it works for him, maybe a plan to make them a package deal.

Obviously there are no sure things, but the logic and rationale of an Ashworth hire is literally all I could hope for. His prerequisites are exceptional, and with a larger profile and structure club grounds to grow to the top of the league at least in theory. If Moshiri wants to rectify his countless blunders this is a pretty great place to start. Of course that comes with the board adhering to his vision and not the inverse.

But this would be simply an incredible appointment.

We had a DoF. Moshiri continually undermined him, then binned him off in favour of giving control to the manager and then binned the manager.

Any DoF who elects to be part of this utter mess of a setup clearly lacks the kind of judgement needed to be a good DoF.

I believe it was Billy connolly who said "the desire to be a politician should rule you out from ever being one".
