Phil Jagielka has signed a new four-year contract at Everton.
The deal keeps the central defender at Goodison Park until 2015.
The news comes as Jagielka, now an England squad regular, prepares to face Fulham this weekend.
Last month he returned to the starting line-up after injury and promptly scored a penalty in the FA Cup shootout win over Chelsea.
Jagielka arrived from Sheffield United in 2007 and was the Club's player of the season in 2008/09, despite suffering a serious knee injury in the second part of the campaign.
But he returned just over 12 months ago and was quickly back to his best, narrowly missing an England World Cup place.
He subsequently did force his way into Fabio Capello’s plans and will be hoping for another call-up this weekend.
The new contract replaces his old one which had been due to expire in 2014.
