Player Valuation: £35m
I was thinking back to sunday's game, and I remember seeing him in the crowd wearing a suit, sad to see him watching us and knowing he can't do anything about it.

Skill wise, he's not a phenomenal player. I don't know what the attitude towards him is like in the locker-room, but Moyes obviously made him captain for a reason. On sunday, things just seemed like they wouldn't click, I know we came close but to be fair a lot of our massive possession stat was hurried movement around midfield, i didn't think we were playing at our best or even close to it.

Could Neville's leadership be the missing ingredient on the pitch? Arteta is a phenomenal player, but I'm not sure if he has the same attitude towards the game. I can't help but be inspired most times when i watch him play, but it may not be the same case with the players.

Its a bit harsh to strip him of his captaincy I guess, since he hasn't looked too bad, but maybe someone else could get everyone in order and really inspire us to play our best. Howard comes to mind, but we really do need a player more involved with the attack. I would say Cahill, but if i remember in the few games he's captained us we haven't played all that well. So who? Jags? Baines?

Thats a titgrenade if ever I saw one!

I expect insurgents to come out from the undergrowth all over the show lad! Be ready!

yeah, he looked so professional, even in the stand in a suit

*giggles* He is such a professional.

I would like to see how many pts/match we get with him in the side vs. w/o him over that past few years. For all his deficiencies we seem to play better with him in the starting lineup which is why I'm never arsed to see him get so much PT. He also seems to have to knack to step it up with a hard tackle or something when we are at out lowest. Something tells me that we would have scored 1-2 against Villa if we was playing.
