Neville signs a year extension deal

The two things I hate most about Everton:

1. Victor Anichebe.
2. Neville's floated chips into the channels when no-one is making that kind of run.

Neville is a leader; for all the piss taking with his pointing he commands respect and his years of playing count for an awful lot. But he can be awful with some of his distribution, like others have mentioned i though he played pretty good back end of the last campaign

I hope I'm not alone in wondering why is thread in particular got bumped. Seeing the thread about phil signing an extension at the top of the forum just about made me cry. Thankfully I noticed it was an old thread.

I like Phil, great captain, great servant of the club, but the last player we should be looking to sign on more extensions at this point. Whew.

Still agree with everything I said about this idiot, offers nothing on the pitch, and people hold on to
His apparent professionalism off it.

I do agree with the chip-ball comments though, they are truly the most ineffective thing I have ever seen on a football pitch since male cheerleaders.

He's probably our best right back even at this age. He's served us well as a captain and has been a good advert for the club.

Take your hating elsewhere you pock faced bells.

I got scared haha, didn't he want 3 more years!

Evidently he does have some leadership qualities since everybody who meets the cnut seems to comment on it and I think we've tended to perform better with him in the side than out of it since he's been here. But to see the guy interviewed I don't know how anybody takes him seriously, and the rest of the squad seem to treat him as a figure of fun on Twitter or even when interviewed on the telly.

We didn't lose the semi-final to Liverpool because of Drenthe's absence or us not turning up in the second half or even Distin's backpass. It was lost half an hour before the game when the BBC's VT of a stern-faced, business-like Steven Gerrard introducing his side's starting XI ended and the Everton rejoinder started up.

'Sylvain Distin, he's like a big teddy bear.'
'Nikica Jelavic, he is literally the Ice Man.'
'Is that Thommo?'

Beyond sick of Neville, me.

Id like to see him Manager of the club some day, starting with the Assistant Managers job from 2013/14

There, I said it!!!

is right, i know it's not really an honour to be everton's best RB at the moment but if we got to an FA Cup final this season, i would rather see him instead of hibbo on the team sheet, although hibbo had a very good season last season. would at least like to see coleman given a go against the lesser teams at home
