Not to find fault in a fantastic performance, but Phil Neville has had a hand in yet another goal conceded.

Against the RS he marked Kuyt from the wrong side.

Versus Chelsea he got drawn towards Drogba and ending up giving himself too much to do on the second ball.

Today both him and Heitinga allowed Berbatov enough space to control the ball before finishing.

Atleast he presented a bit more of an attacking threat today than he has been doing.

Neville does a lot right, but is not the best player if you want creativity or speedy defence.

Until we get a leader of his quality coming through, he is still important to us.

I think he's played ok though to be fair to him considering he's been put back to defence.

At RB his crosses are poor and never reach anybody so I don't mind if he doesn't go forward very much and just concentrates on defense. He seems to work better with Billy than Donovan (I'm guessing why Donovan-Neville don't link up well is b/c neither of them are playing their best position).

In defense he more often than not bails out the CBs. Rooney had a rough touch but if Neville doesn't play that perfectly then UTD gets a pen.

I don't blame him for the 1st goal. It was a deflection and when Berbatov gets the ball you can't just go flying in with a reckless tackle. Besides Portsmouth is there any other team that gives up more deflected goals?

He hasn't played RB that much this year but seems to be getting used to the postion again and seems to be getting better with each match. He'll be OK there.

So would you rather have Hibbert at RB?

Neville has his faults but he is good captain and has to play as the team need him on the pitch and our midfield is better without him.
