Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian

The Unobstructed View
To the 96 souls that perished on that fateful day in the sun.

R.I.P.

We stood beside them in their grief, together as one, all football supporters unanimous that the game is not in fact more important than life or death.

RIP.

Does anyone have any images of when the scarves were stretched across Stanley Park? I've only heard about that but never seen it.

If the Mersey overflows today, we know the reason why,
Its because all the people of Liverpool are not afraid to cry,
Let us not forget them, remember them with pride,
For we are one big family, THE PRIDE OF MERSEYSIDE,
You'll never walk alone ........ Nil satis nisi optimum xx

Selfish i know but coming back from villa park is all i remember about that day it seemed to take so long,so very little information that was reliable at least it was all so confused then watching a workmates face as she got a phone call about her son...

Yes it was terrible and no we shouldn't forget the horror of that day but if nothing else out of horror and tragedy some good did come out of it with grounds being forced to come up to somewhere near safe modern standards becuase i doubt that without Hillsbourgh we'd have still been watching football in out dated stadia.

So yes it's right to remember those poor souls a day that should never be forgotton

Yes well said, can remember hearing about it like it was yesterday.
I had not been able to get a ticket for our semi so took her who ended up being my wife to Southport for the day.
On the train coming home someone had a radio on and I heard south Yorkshire police have said mentioned but never heard more than that.
Then when we got off the train and on a bus I asked the driver how we got on and he told me, then asked how Liverpool got on.
To which the driver said haven't you heard so I asked heard what and he told me what had happened.
