I'd rather sell both Heitinga and Rodwell than either one of Baines or Fellaini.

LUV U BAINES, FELLI AND JOHNNY

You're really not following this thread very well are you!
Stop putting words into other peoples posts.
The point is, are we relying too much on Baines down the left... The answers is a very obvious YES.
Does this mean we should sell him... An equally obvious no!
If we had to sell a big player, should that be Baines over Fellaini, Jella.. Yes imo.
People should read posts properly before replying.
So much bitching & witless sarcasm on here lately.

Ooh touchy, something to do with the Lunar cycle?

I hate the way that we put prices on players heads.

Its horrible that Kenwrong has made some of you this way.

Fellainis price is ZERO, cos hes not for sale.

And I know that I have to be a realist and admit that everybody has a price at Everton, but we as fans dont need to play that game, we as fans should maintain that Fellaini isnt for sale.

Heartbreaking.

Crap paint job but i don't care.

City will not pay anywhere near £25 million for Baines.

Its got f all to do with how much he's worth to us or how much other players have been sold for.

We'll be lucky to see £15 million.
I don't think anyone never mind City will be getting a player who many say on here has had a rather average season then ends up in the PL Dream team will getting sold on the cheap, it'll never happen. Not even Kenwright is that stupid.

If we get £15 million for him he won't be sold on the cheap.

The only clubs who can afford to buy a left back for that money are the ones who don't need him as much as we do.

Like it or not in the real world left backs don't go for silly money.

The squad is paper thin now, selling any key member would be suicide. The better bets would be reserve team players who've shown sparks when they've played (long contracts a bonus).

Duffy, Velios, Barkley, and you shouldn't look past Rodwell for a few million. We could then strengthen the right backs and find good cover at left back.

What we really need is to not sell anything but dead wood and get some serious investment. But the point is if we sell experienced players in key positions for which we don't have real cover we will be right royally ****ed up the arse.

Football hasn't been in the real world for a long time Mate...:P

Anyway, I don't agree, as for a start City paid £22M for Lescott, cough, cough, where he plays at left back.

Another is Chelsea, City & Man Utd are after him.

Finally, if you don't think left backs/full backs don't cost a pretty penny then lets have a guess how much Bale's transfer will be shortly.

Lescott was signed as and plays as a centre back while Hughes was going through his over paying for players he wants phase.

And Bale hasn't been a left back for years and will go for silly money as a hyped up big name left winger.

So your 2 points for why Baines will go for the price he's worth to us as opposed to the price he's worth to other teams are actually wrong.

Like i said, the teams who can afford to pay big money for him aren't the teams who need to pay big money for him.

Sorry, but you're wrong. Lescott is now employed at left back by Mancini, if you're not sure then check it out and I'm sure you'll find that I'm right.
Also Bale is still credited as a left back/winger.

As for you dismissing the big money I'm sure Moyes and the board aren't so gullible as they make out, hence the reason they'll be told to get lost for anything under what City paid us for Lescott.

I've not read any of this thread because, frankly, the title is laughable.

Under no circumstances should any clubs look to raise money by selling their best players, especially any as irreplaceable as Baines is to us.

If we need money that badly we should look to unload players who already have replacements who can do a job for us, like Vic (replaced by Vellios).
