2025/26 Nathan Patterson

Never said he had a great game, also was no where near as bad as some are making out, as usual.

He’s part of a big away win, not really putting a foot wrong (or no worse than any others in blue on the night) and is still getting slammed, it’s tiresome.
He did pretty well on the whole, but he definitely quite literally put a couple of feet wrong in the early part of the game.

In a defence that kept a clean sheet.
And we won.
Not much more to be expected from someone who hasn’t been in the team.
Also the structure of the team was much better with a RB in that position.
We still need to sign another RB asap but not sure he’s finished here yet, especially with Seamus at the end of his playing career.

That was my take. First few Forest forays down our right had me worried that he and Dibling were going to get pulled all over, but they both steadied.

Ran out of gas, but given he's not started a top flight game for a long time he can be forgiven lack of match fitness/sharpness.

Hopefully, Nathan Patterson will get another 70 mins or so in the Brentford game. He needs match fitness, and that comes with getting minutes on the pitch.

He was great in the second half until those last two massive mistakes at the end. Maybe he is blowing out of his arse late in games, but that is one time to many that he has tried to outmuscle and fullback on the sideline and completely get left for dust. It can't keep happening if he wants time. It will lose you games. I hope Moyes specifically told him to contain his man in those situations so maybe he can string a few performances together. He makes some great defensive plays but his wombo mistakes can't keep happening.
