2025/26 Nathan Patterson

The problem is that he has been so consistently tormented by injuries I have no real notion of his actual ability. He's looked decent at times in the brief glimpses and at the same very mediocre but he's never been able to maintain his fitness enough to get an extensive run of games. I think ultimately it would be more suitable for him to go to a less demanding league where he can take the necessary time to achieve some balance of fitness. He's injured as much as mo besic was
Perfectly put Curtis and my feelings exactly

Feels to me like Gerard/Benitez cooked up the deal quickly to pay the £15m+ to Rangers and then we skipped a medical. As you say something must be up with his DNA/psyche to be so permanently off the field. For everyone's sake the lad needs a decent run at a lower level and then see how it goes.

Another day and another made up fee and filthy post.

"Good lad though"

There has always been something clearly “off” about this deal. A young player with only a handful of senior appearances was signed for what many felt was three times his true value, and over several seasons he has consistently shown that he lacks either the physical or mental attributes required to succeed at this level. Whatever Moyes’ shortcomings, it’s hard to imagine him not doing more due diligence and steering clear of a deal like this had he been in charge at the time.

That said, we are where we are. If the aim is to give the lad a chance to salvage his career, the club needs to accept the loss on the transfer fee and significantly subsidise his wages to help him move to a level better suited to his abilities.

Amid all the mock outrage on this thread, what’s most striking is that he’s no longer being discussed as a footballer at all. The club should at least give him the opportunity to become one again.

I said about £15m. Story at the time says £16m. How much are you saying he cost? Then add in the wages - per good performance?

Even for you this is a wild take.

Poundland Davek.

Do you think that one day you may actually elect to support your team exclusively?

But I'm factually correct. Worst transfer we've done and very ridden in Kopite personnel.

Their view on Gbamin (who cost more than double the £12m we paid for Patterson and was on supposedly on £75k a week, who only played 8 games and left on a free), was just he was unlucky. Their view on Patterson is there is something wrong with his DNA.

It’s pretty sinister.

Gbamin had two horrendous injuries you weapon. Suggest you go back to ironing your Prince Andrew tea towels.

Facts are simple this lad is one of rhe worst ever transfers in oue history.

He's on the bench - so therefore fit. We have what is clearly the weakest level of full backs in Premier league history and a prime 24 yr old international sitting on the bench can't get a game? Whether it was £12m or £16m plus wages for the time he's been here relative to the minutes on the pitch under what half a dozen managers now?!

Cut it out with the peadophilia crap. It’s a really low place to go, even for internet trolling.

Couldn’t care less about general insults. We disagree, so what. But that’s unnecessary.

Dry your eyes i meant as the typical fawning royal luvvie.. You quoted Gbamin but ignored his career defining injuries? Plus he at least did leave us.
No you didn’t. Not with your recent history of other posts you have made and have also been banned for. As I said, cut it out.

Patterson will also leave us as well. Every player does.
